Murray Davidson - St Johnstone F.C

Murray Davidson started his career at Livingston getting his first profesional goal in 2008 against his current club St Johnstone. He then went on to sign for St Johnstone in 2009 where he got the opening goal of the season for the club and his career at St Johnstone in his league debut. A couple of really good seasons lead to teams like Rangers, Bolton and Everton to be interested in him but the club turned down any bids for him as he was still in contract.

In the 2013/14 season Murray unfortunately missed out on the Scottish Cup final triumph as he tore his patellar tendon which kept him away from the pitch for over six months. He has had the opportunity to captain St Johnstone in both league games and European matches.

During this great season for the club Murray was gutted to have to miss out on the League Cup final due to a calf injury he picked up at Ibrox. Thankfully he was able to recover well and came on as second half substitute to play in the Scottish Cup final which they also won.

Murray played in various occasions with the Scotland national team younger divisions and he made his full international debut in November 2012 becoming the first serving St Johnstone player to do so.

Many thanks to Murray Davidson for agreeing to do this interview with me and I wish him all the best for the upcoming season.
